Job summary

Ricoh USA, Inc. in Boulder, Colorado is seeking an Advisory Linux Systems Software Engineer to join our Control Unit Development team.

This role focuses on low-level Linux systems software close to the kernel to power high-performance printing platforms across multiple hardware environments. You will work across the full software lifecycle, contributing to architecture, design, implementation, system bring-up, performance tuning, and production support.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in low-level Linux systems software.
• Proficiency in C/C++ with kernel-level development exposure.
• Experience with Python or Bash scripting and OS-level debugging.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop low-level Linux systems software and platform components.
• Work with Linux kernel subsystems, drivers, and init flows.
• Develop and optimize BIOS/firmware update processes for deployed systems.
• Collaborate with teams and utilize GitLab CI/CD and JIRA for workflow efficiency.
• Produce high-quality technical documentation and support downstream teams.
