Space Coast Credit Union (SCCU) is seeking a Systems Engineer II to design, implement, and maintain enterprise Linux platforms with a focus on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, including Ubuntu support, across on‑prem, virtual, and cloud environments.

You will harden systems, implement security controls, and automate provisioning and patching using Bash, Python, and Ansible while collaborating with cybersecurity, network, and application teams to ensure highly available services in a regulated financial

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in IT or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Strong hands-on Linux administration and patching experience.
• Experience with security hardening and compliance practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Linux platforms across on‑prem and cloud.
• Harden systems using SCAP/STIG/CIS, manage access controls and SSH.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, network, and application teams.
• Automate provisioning, patching, and health checks with Bash, Python, Ansible.
• Troubleshoot incidents and participate in DR planning and testing.
