Visual Soft, Inc. in Winchester, VA seeks a Senior System Administrator - Linux to manage Linux-based workstations and servers in AWS. The role requires TOP SECRET clearance and is fully onsite with hybrid remote arrangement: 3 days remote, 2 days onsite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience.
• Experience in AWS environments.
• Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining operating systems on workstations and servers.
• Strong performance tuning and monitoring.
• Backup and disaster recovery planning and execution.
• Develops and enforces standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain OS on workstations and servers, including web servers.
• Perform software installations and upgrades; schedule and document them.
• Monitor and tune systems for optimum performance.
• Ensure data integrity; implement data backup and archiving solutions.
• Audit hardware/software and enforce configuration standards.
• Maintain OS/hardware configuration documentation.
