Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC is seeking a Principal Linux Systems Engineer to lead complex Linux administration, hardware qualification, and delivery for nuclear utility customers. You will report to the Manager Software Systems Technology, Nuclear Fuel Technology Engineering, and work on-site in Cranberry Township, PA with a hybrid schedule.

The role requires 6+ years in Linux administration (SUSE preferred), strong problem-solving skills, and experience with NFS, RAID, BIOS/UEFI, iLO,

Qualifications

6+ years of Linux Administration experience (preferable SUSE).
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field.
Demonstrated ability to independently identify, analyze and solve various system problems.
Experience with networking concepts, disk configurations, authentication methods, and patching in Linux environments.

Responsibilities

Perform system administration of corporate Engineering Linux platforms and manage hardware delivery for nuclear utility customers.
Install and configure base OS, deploy security updates, coordinate site deliveries and maintenance visits, and support Linux systems across corporate and customer environments.
Collaborate with engineering users to deploy applications and resolve issues.
