Job summary

Wipro in Irving, TX seeks a Linux Administrator with 5-8 years of experience to manage OS upgrades in virtual and physical environments. You will configure HBA/NIC load balancing, perform OS installations, and craft basic scripts in shell and Perl.

The role includes on-call and weekend shifts as needed, with emphasis on customer service and clear communication. Experience with RAC/VCS clusters is valued, along with familiarity with VXVM and Ansible.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Linux administration in a complex environment with upgrades.
• Experience with cluster-related technologies (RAC, VCS).
• Familiarity with HBA/NIC load balancing and OS compliance tools.
• scripting knowledge (shell, Perl) and basic DevOps tools.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for OS upgrades in VM and physical environments.
• Configure and troubleshoot HBA and NIC load balancing.
• Install and configure operating systems; perform RCA when needed.
• Maintain basic scripting (shell, Perl) for automation.
• Provide on-call and weekend support as schedule requires.
• Communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders.
