Job summary

MANTECH in Ft. Meade, Maryland seeks a Senior Linux System Administrator to join our team. You will provide support for the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems, and help manage IT system infrastructure.

This role involves Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, capacity planning, and configuring Linux and Windows OS to improve reliability and performance. An active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline; an additional 4 years of related experience might be substituted for a degree.
• 20+ years of related experience in systems administration or IT operations.
• Experience with Linux, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
• Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery (e.g., calculator, copy machine, printer).
• Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
