J&T Business Consulting in Annapolis Junction, MD, is seeking an experienced Linux System Administrator (Level 2) to manage enterprise Linux/Windows environments and support STE data transfer workflows. The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and extensive hands-on administration.

The position covers server/workstation installations, upgrades, and performance optimization, with responsibility for Tier 1/2 escalations and secure operations in a high-security environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline plus at least 10 years of Systems Administration experience on programs/contracts of similar scope and complexity, OR
• 15 years of relevant Systems Administration experience without a degree (5 additional years substituting for the degree).
• Strong hands-on experience administering CentOS 7, Rocky Linux 9, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 9).
• Proven experience handling physical server/workstation installations, system refreshes, and hardware troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated familiarity with Secure the Enterprise (STE) tasks and authorized data transfer workflows.

Responsabilités

• Configure, manage, patch, and maintain enterprise Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting and incident diagnosis for client, server, storage, and network components.
• Execute hardware and software installations, system upgrades, and migrations for servers and workstations.
• Support STE requirements and customer-specific secure data transfer processes.
• Optimize system operations and resource allocation; perform capacity planning and performance analysis.
• Manage ticket escalations and provide detailed technical feedback to stakeholders.
• Configure and maintain network component integrity and OS Enhancements.
