Job summary

Wipro is seeking a Linux administrator to manage OS upgrades in complex VM and physical environments, provisioning, patch management, and system hardening. The role requires UNIX shell scripting and Perl, plus hands-on experience with Ansible automation and DevOps pipelines.

The candidate should be comfortable with RAC cluster prerequisites, VCS/VXVM service groups, and configuring HBA/NIC load balancing, along with OS compliance tools setup. 5-8 years of experience is expected.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of Linux administration experience.
• Experience with OS upgrades in complex environments (VM and physical).
• Experience with Ansible automation and DevOps pipelines.
• UNIX shell scripting and Perl scripting proficiency.
• Exposure to RAC cluster prerequisites and VCS clustering (L3).
• Knowledge of VXVM and VCS service groups.
• Experience with OS compliance tools and their setup.
• Ability to configure and troubleshoot HBA/NIC load balancing.
• OS provisioning, patch management, and hardening.

Responsibilities

• OS provisioning and configuration.

• User management, package installation, and system hardening.
• Create and manage Ansible playbooks, roles, inventories, and variables.
