Job summary

DCI Solutions is seeking a Platform and Automation engineer to own complex Linux environments and secure operations. You will automate provisioning, monitoring, and security hardening, while managing AWS accounts with Terraform and maintaining data storage systems.

The role requires 5+ years in Linux/Platform engineering, cloud administration, and strong scripting in Python/Ansible. TS/SCI clearance with Full-Scope Polygraph is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Platform, Automation or Infrastructure engineering and Linux engineering.
• Cloud administration experience with enterprise environments.
• Proficient in automation languages: Python, Ansible, Bash/Go.
• Ability to troubleshoot server hardware failures and apply OS security hardening.
• Experience with patch/configuration management in enterprise production environments.
• Familiarity with database and web server technologies and their operations.
• Experience with automation frameworks including Ansible for security processes.
• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration helpful.
• DevOps/CI/CD pipeline experience; TS/SCI with Full-Scope Polygraph clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end ownership of complex Linux system environments.
• Serve as the team expert and first line of defense for server threats.
• Monitor alerts, triage outages, and plan resolutions.
• Automate provisioning, log parsing, data transformations, and operational workflows.
• Administer AWS accounts using Terraform and troubleshoot via AWS Console/CLI.
• Manage data storage, backups, monitoring, and upgrades.
• Configure, monitor, and maintain web servers and platform infrastructure.
