Job summary

Belay Technologies is a Baltimore/Washington area DoD contractor seeking a senior Linux/DevOps engineer to support secure environments. You will administer Linux systems, automate tasks, deploy Kubernetes, and contribute to CI/CD, monitoring, and security.

Required TS/SCI with polygraph and hands-on experience with Dell hardware in data-center settings. Collaboration across cross-functional teams is essential for reliable, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI with polygraph.
• Strong hands-on experience administering Linux systems.
• Experience with system automation, configuration management, and infrastructure‑as‑code concepts.
• Experience troubleshooting systems across operating system, application, networking, and infrastructure layers.
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerized workloads is a bonus.
• Experience with Ansible is a bonus.
• Experience working with physical servers and data‑center infrastructure, preferably Dell hardware.
• Prior CNO experience desired.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional engineering and operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux-based systems and environments.
• Develop scripts and tools using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar technologies to automate tasks.
• Deploy, configure, manage, and troubleshoot Kubernetes environments and workloads.
• Automate system provisioning, configuration, deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across OS, applications, containers, networking, and hardware.
• Monitor system performance, availability, capacity, and security; take corrective action.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and automated infrastructure and software deployments.
• Collaborate with software, infrastructure, systems, and operations teams to implement reliable and maintainable solutions.
• Document system configurations, technical solutions, procedures, and operational processes.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve system reliability, performance, scalability, and security.
• Support physical server and data‑center infrastructure, including Dell hardware.
