Hayden AI in the United States is seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to own the low-level software stack for edge AI systems, focusing on Linux kernel and device drivers on ARM64 platforms.

You will collaborate with hardware teams to enable board bring-up and optimize camera pipelines, GNSS/IMU interfaces, and high-throughput data paths, contributing to reliable, production-grade edge solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years of professional firmware development experience.
• Strong programming in C with deep Linux kernel and device driver development expertise.
• Proven experience developing and debugging Linux kernel modules, drivers, and BSPs.
• Deep understanding of Linux internals.
• Hands-on experience with hardware interfaces and protocols.
• Experience with camera subsystems (V4L2) and video pipelines is highly preferred.
• Strong experience with ARM64 embedded platforms and board bring-up.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Linux kernel device drivers for cameras, sensors, networking, and custom hardware peripherals.
• Own Linux kernel bring-up and platform enablement on embedded ARM64 systems (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson platforms).
• Debug and resolve complex issues across kernel space, drivers, and hardware interactions.
• Develop and optimize high-throughput data paths (e.g., camera pipelines, CSI, ISP, video encode/decode).
• Work with hardware teams to support board bring-up, hardware validation, and signal-level debugging.
• Implement and maintain driver support for peripherals such as GNSS, IMU, LTE/5G modems, CAN, and storage devices.
