Job summary

Peraton is seeking a qualified Linux/DevOps professional to join the DoS DSCM program in Beltsville, MD. You will provide Linux and cyber tools administration, patch management, and rapid deployment through Ansible across global systems.

The role requires US citizenship and an active Secret security clearance, with duties including documentation and IDS updates to support secure, scalable cyber operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years’ experience or Master’s with 3 years’ experience.
• Must hold or obtain one of CISSP, Security+ CE, CySA+, or similar certifications.
• Hands-on RHEL administration, patching, and deployment.
• Proficient with Ansible playbooks and Satellite management.
• Experience with Bash scripting and system hardening (DISA STIGs).
• Familiar with SCAP tools and IDS definition updates.
• Clearance: U.S. citizen with active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide Linux and cyber tools administration and Tier 2 support globally.
• Maintain Ansible playbooks for rapid deployment of containers.
• Maintain Satellite server for distributed RHEL patching.
• Develop and maintain process documentation for Linux admin and patching.
• Assist in updating IDS definitions.
