Job summary

Everfox is hiring a full-time software engineer in Salt Lake City, Utah, to build a scalable Linux-based container platform. You will contribute in an Agile environment, focusing on design, development, testing, and planning with a strong Linux background.

The role requires 4+ years in containers and 3+ years Kubernetes, plus 5+ years Linux administration. Hybrid onsite work 2–3 days/week is expected, within ~50 miles of the office, with generous benefits and salary in the US market.

Qualifications

• BS CS/CE/Information Security or equivalent work experience.
• Strong problem solving, troubleshooting, communication and customer service skills.
• Strong time management skills and ability to take initiative and work independently on concurrent projects.
• 4+ years of professional experience using container technologies in production.
• 3+ years of production experience building/maintaining Kubernetes clusters.
• 5+ years of professional experience administering and/or developing applications on Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• Demonstrable Bash scripting experience and solid Linux CLI knowledge.
• Foundational networking knowledge and experience with VMware ESXi/vSphere.
• Experience with Ansible and familiarity with YAML and JSON.
• Experience deploying applications to AWS and/or Azure in production.
• Ability to pass a government background check if needed.
