Job summary

Identity Digital seeks a Lead Infrastructure Engineer - Linux/AWS to provide technical leadership for the Systems Engineering team in a hybrid Bellevue, WA setting. You will mentor engineers, drive architectural decisions, and deliver scalable, secure infrastructure while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes reliability, open-source leverage, and modern operational models, with a focus on balancing efficiency with risk management in a global organization.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of infrastructure engineering experience.
• 2+ years in a leadership or team lead capacity.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field.
• Advanced Bash and Python scripting skills.
• Strong Linux OS Architecture, kernel ops and troubleshooting.
• Experience with open-source technologies in enterprise infra.
• Project management and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to travel and work across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Serve as day-to-day technical lead for Systems Engineering, coordinating work assignments and ensuring successful team execution.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to engineers, reviewing work and promoting best practices.
• Contribute to technical decisions shaping projects, workflows, and infrastructure improvements.
• Oversee design, implementation, deployment, and operations of system lifecycle tasks for reliability.
• Design, build, and enhance infrastructure; integrate emerging technologies.
• Maintain infrastructure reliability, scalability, and security in line with requirements.
• Foster collaborative engineering culture and tooling for reliability and developer experience.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align deliverables with objectives.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives across systems, workflows, and processes.
• Demonstrate Identity Digital values through leadership and collaboration.
