Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Linux and Ansible Automation Engineer to design, deploy, and scale automated solutions within a mission-critical environment in Reston, Virginia. You will develop automation frameworks, enforce best practices, and help leadership understand the value of automation.

The role emphasizes leadership, mentorship, and expanding automation coverage as customer needs grow, with a strong focus on security and DoD-aligned processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience administering Linux-based environments (RHEL).
• Experience managing configuration at scale using Ansible and writing idempotent playbooks.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Salt, Puppet, Chef).
• Experience with Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and grow automated solutions for an enterprise environment.
• Develop automation frameworks and best practices for scalable infrastructure.
• Provide automated monitoring, system hardening, configuration management, and performance optimization.
