Job summary

Ennoble First is seeking a Linux and Ansible Automation Engineer to support scalable automation frameworks in a mission‑critical environment. You will develop automation capabilities and improve efficiency through configuration management, monitoring, and infrastructure automation.

You will collaborate with mission partners to identify automation opportunities, reduce manual effort, and strengthen enterprise Linux environments, ensuring security compliance and best practices across the stack.

Qualifications

• 10+ years Linux administration in RHEL environments.
• Experience with Ansible at scale and enforcing consistent state across large inventories.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and multiple IaC tools.
• Proficiency in Bash, Python, or PowerShell for automation.
• Experience in U.S. federal government or DoD IT environments with security frameworks (STIG, RMF, NIST).
• Educational prerequisites: Associate’s with 5+ yrs, Bachelor’s with 3+ yrs, or Master’s with 1+ yrs in IT projects.
• Ability to obtain DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Develop automation frameworks and best practices for scalable infrastructure management.
• Provide insight into Linux environments through automated monitoring, hardening, and configuration management.
• Collaborate with mission partners to translate challenges into automation solutions.
• Develop automation capabilities that reduce manual effort and operational risk.
• Identify opportunities where automation provides immediate value while enabling growth.
• Communicate the value of automation to technical leadership.
