White Lodging, operating JW Marriott Austin, offers a role in its food and beverage team focused on scheduling flexibility and growth. You will mentor junior cooks, oversee daily prep, and ensure adherence to recipes, safety, and cost targets while contributing to guest satisfaction and team collaboration.

The position requires strong culinary skills, stamina for fast-paced work, and the ability to work in a dynamic hotel kitchen environment.

Qualifications

Culinary education or apprenticeship preferred but not mandatory.
Ability to stand and move at a fast pace for long periods.
Knowledge of all cooking and preparation equipment.

Responsibilities

Mentor entry-level cooks and apprentices while overseeing daily preparation and production in your food outlet.
Follow company F&B procedures, health department regulations, and federal guidelines.
Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures are followed at all times.
Assist in maintaining food cost and labor cost standards.
Check freshness of foods and ingredients, ensuring all recipes and portion-use records are followed.
Monitor and positively influence guest feedback scores through food quality and service consistency.
Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between coworkers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
