Job summary

The City of Fort Worth is seeking a Senior LIMS Programmer Analyst to join the Water Department. You will support the Central Laboratory by ensuring data integrity, regulatory compliance, and efficient LIMS operations.

The role requires hands-on lab IT experience and strong SQL skills. Work in an in-person environment in Fort Worth, interacting with laboratory staff and IT teams to deploy upgrades, manage access, and develop reports and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant science or IT field.
• Five years of hands-on experience with a LIMS or similar data system.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day LIMS operations, maintenance, and user training.
• Develop and maintain SQL/PLSQL scripts for data validation and reporting.
• Create and maintain laboratory reports within the LIMS environment.
• Manage LIMS user roles, access controls, and workflow permissions.
• Troubleshoot LIMS issues and provide end-user support.
• Collaborate with IT and vendors to resolve system/integration issues.
• Develop training materials, SOPs, and conduct hands-on training.
