An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Lifeguard to ensure safety and provide instruction at a public swimming pool. This role involves supervising swimming activities, enforcing safety regulations, and responding to emergencies with lifesaving techniques. Under the general supervision of the Pool Manager or Assistant Pool Manager, accomplishes specialized work in protecting life, preventing accidents, enforcing safety regulations, providing instructions, and assisting in the operation and supervision of the public swimming pool. Supervises swimming activities in and around pools to ensure that policies, rules and regulations are observed and enforced, and that no hazard to safety is created. Warns swimmers of improper activities or danger; enforces pool regulations and water safety policies; rescues swimmers in distress or danger of drowning; administers first aid in the event of injury; administers artificial respiration if required, and performs other related duties as required.
General knowledge of equipment operations relating to swimming pools; knowledge of the means of lifesaving and of artificial respiration; knowledge of first aid and its application. Ability to direct the activities and work of others; meet and deal tactfully with the public; demonstrate swimming proficiency, and be in top physical condition at all times.
Job Requirements:Only those candidates possessing the most desirable qualifications will be invited to participate in the selection process. The selected applicant will be subjected to a drug screening and fingerprint check.
