Job summary

EY is seeking a Senior Life Sciences Manufacturing Specialist to design, build, test and deploy digital solutions for regulated plant operations across pharma, biotech and medical devices. You’ll connect production, quality, lab and IT needs with deployable technology and guide deployments through validation, data integrity, and training.

You will collaborate with operators, engineers and data teams, own technical deliverables, and help translate shop‑floor workflows into testable requirements

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering, life sciences, manufacturing, information systems, computer science, supply chain, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of relevant Life Sciences manufacturing or related experience in systems implementation or technology consulting.
• Experience with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical‑device, or other regulated environments.
• Experience producing technical or functional delivery artifacts (requirements, maps, data interfaces, test scripts, deployment materials).
• Ability to collaborate with operational stakeholders and technical delivery teams to investigate requirements and resolve issues.
• Willingness to travel 80‑100% as required.

Responsibilities

• Assess workflows, user needs, system interfaces, equipment data, and pain points via site observations and data review.
• Document process flows, user stories, functional requirements, data mappings, and interface specs for digital manufacturing.
• Support design and implementation of MES/MOM, eDHRs, recipe management, genealogy, and plant performance reporting.
• Trace information across MES/MOM, ERP, LIMS, QMS, historians, SCADA, DCS/PLC, and asset platforms.
• Develop data hierarchies, source‑to‑target mappings, and data quality rules with cross‑functional teams.
• Configure or prototype components and document design decisions for client and technical leads.
• Prepare functional and integration test scripts, track defects, and support deployment readiness and training.
• Collaborate with validation teams on GxP, data integrity, and risk‑based assurance.
• Contribute to analytics and AI use cases by evaluating data quality and manufacturing context.
• Communicate risks and progress to client counterparts and engage junior colleagues as needed.
