Job summary

New Era Technology in Fort Wayne, IN is hiring a Senior Life Safety Installation Technician to install, maintain, and service low voltage systems including door access, surveillance, alarms, AV, and network components.

You will work with certified professionals, complete projects safely and efficiently, and participate in ongoing training in a team-oriented environment. A valid driver’s license is required and some travel to client sites is expected.

Qualifications

• 4+ years AV, security, or electrical installation experience.
• Must acquire CTS certification within 15 months of starting.
• Preferred: NICET FAS, Genetec, AXIS, Avigilon or other relevant certifications.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow Systems Integration installation processes.
• Fabricate and terminate cabling; prep racks for integration of AV and control systems.
• Assist with preventive maintenance of customer equipment.
• Respond to service-related issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate service tickets and inventory records.
• Learn company software and use it daily.
• Work safely and collaboratively within the team.
• complies with safety programs and perform other duties as assigned.
