Job summary

Jobtailor in Colorado is seeking an experienced actuarial leader to manage one or more actuarial functions within products and corporate processes. You will evaluate new ideas, price and maintain products, and direct design, pricing, and implementation of insurance offerings.

You will lead the preparation of actuarial analyses for management, monitor profitability by product line, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• FSA or ASA designation with a Bachelor's degree and 7 years of relevant experience.
• In lieu of Bachelor's, a Master's in a listed discipline with 5 years of relevant experience is accepted.
• In lieu of FSA/ASA designation, 10 years of relevant experience is accepted.
• High quality leadership, judgment, organization and prioritization skills.
• Ability to communicate advanced mathematical and analytical concepts verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Manage one or more actuarial functions for a product line or Corporate process.
• Evaluate new product ideas, price and maintain existing products.
• Direct the design, pricing, and implementation of insurance products.
• Lead preparation and interpretation of actuarial information for management.
• Monitor profitability by line of business and/or product and develop reports.
• Maintain product lines or Corporate processes in compliance with regulations.
• Manage studies underlying actuarial assumptions and provide data to others.
• Support creation of systems specifications, contracts and pricing structures.
• Monitor actuarial techniques, laws, regulations, and market developments.
• Recommend appropriate reactions to industry and regulatory developments.
• Provide guidance on pricing rates, modeling methodology, reserving and related matters.
• Serve as a key resource for major recurring projects.
• Represent the company with industry committees and regulators.
• May supervise a team of employees.
