Job summary

The position requires 7–10+ years of underwriting experience, Bachelor’s degree, and proven ability to handle high-level authority while communicating effectively with partners and clients across the business.

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years of Life Insurance Underwriting experience.
• Ability to handle advanced decision level authorities without a co-signature ($2.5 Million or higher).
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for internal and external relationships.
• Critical thinking and attention to detail to identify information and differences.
• Ability to translate information meaning and to develop goals, plan, and prioritize work.

Responsibilities

• Review upfront underwriting data and tools.
• Handle additional underwriting requirements by determining value, ordering, and reviewing to perform risk selection.
• Finalize cases.
• Data enter medical history and use system workbenches to process and decision cases.
• Demonstrate dependability, organization, and sound judgment by adhering to schedules and meeting standards.
