Job summary

Annandale Healthcare Center, a member of the CommuniCare Family of Companies, is recruiting an Activities Leader for our team in Annandale, VA. This part-time position starts at $15/hour and may involve outdoor supervision during resident smoke breaks.

We seek an energetic, creative, and compassionate individual who works closely with residents. You will lead one-to-one and group activities, plan events, and support socialization and community involvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in healthcare settings preferred.
• Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
• Ability to communicate tactfully with residents, families, and staff.
• Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Lead a variety of activities for residents individually or in groups.
• Provide supplies and equipment for activities and coordinate events.
• Assist in planning and scheduling holidays, outings, and religious services.
• Escort residents to activities and maintain activity schedules and notices.
• Coordinate with other departments to organize meals, room arrangements, and transportation.
• Maintain activity documentation and participate in training and orientation.
