Job summary

Riverview Health in Detroit, MI is seeking an Activities Aide to coordinate life enrichment programs for residents. You will work under the Activities Director to maintain engaging activities, ensure attendance records are kept promptly, and uphold resident comfort, privacy and dignity with warmth and respect.

The role emphasizes QA process proficiency, strong interpersonal communication, and teamwork with residents, visitors and staff in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year related experience preferred in senior living communities.
• Ability to lead activities and motivate volunteers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists in maintaining balanced resident-centered activities and life enrichment programs under supervision of the Activities Director.
• Complete appropriate records indicating resident’s attendance and participation in individual and group activities in a timely basis.
• Maintains the comfort, privacy and dignity of residents and interacts with them in a manner that displays warmth, respect and promotes a caring environment.
• Demonstrates proficiency and understanding of the QA (Quality Assurance) process and essential quality service standards.
• Communicates and interacts effectively and tactfully with residents, visitors, families, peers and supervisors.
