Job summary

LifeSkills and Pennyroyal Center seeks a Therapist II to provide psychosocial assessment and psychotherapy for individuals with mental illness, behavior problems, and substance misuse in clinic, community, and home settings.

You will collaborate with case managers, psychiatry, schools, and other partners; a graduate degree and Kentucky licensure are required, with on-call rotation included. This role emphasizes ethical practice and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Professional Counseling, Marriage and Family, Psychology or related mental health field.
• Must be fully licensed in Kentucky (LCSW, LPCC, LPA, LPP, LMFT, or equivalent).
• Must meet QMHP requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Carry no history of malpractice or board sanctions.
• Must pass Criminal Record Check and Sexual Offender Registry Check.

Responsibilities

• Independently completing clinical evaluations, psychosocial assessments, and diagnostic screenings.
• Deliver individual, family, collateral, psychoeducation and/or group therapy, using evidenced based/informed interventions.
• Participate in intake, referral, orientation, and engagement activities for new clients.
• Provide services to outpatient, co-occurring, and assigned specialty populations as applicable.
• Assist in crisis response, including gathering information, coordinating with staff, and supporting safety planning.
