Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform drafting and detailing to produce accurate drawings for fabrication and construction.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Designers to develop construction documents.
• Transform conceptual designs using Revit into working construction documents.
• Review drawings for adherence to specifications and standards.
• Prepare schematic design, design development, and construction documentation with Revit.
• Maintain production standards and quality checks.
• Coordinate drawing information with external sources and consultants.
• Mentor new designers in Revit usage.

We are currently seeking a Mid-Level Structural Revit Designer to join our Charlotte, North Carolinaoffice to create structural drawing packages to provide solutions and achieve design goals for LJB’s clients by a set deadline.

Salary Range: $85,000-$115,000 based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards.

SENIOR-LEVEL STRUCTURAL REVIT DESIGNER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform routine to moderately complex drafting and detailing to produce accurate drawings and plans necessary for fabrication and construction in accordance with customer contract documents, industry standards, and established company practices and procedures.
• Coordinate and communicate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Designers within the office and from other offices to develop construction documents.
• Transform conceptual/schematic designs using Revit into working construction documents.
• Be able to review drawings to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards, as well as perform routine drafting and technical tasks as required throughout the project duration.
• Participate in the preparation of schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and any additional drawings using Revit.
• Maintain quality standards, format special requirements, etc., as mandated by office production standards.
• Coordinate working drawing information with related external sources and consultants.
• Complete quality checks on their work or others ' work.
• Mentor new designers on how to use Revit.
• Other duties as assigned.

SENIOR-LEVEL STRUCTURAL REVIT DESIGNER ESSENTIAL CREDENTIALS:

Required Qualifications:

• Two-year technical degree in drafting, design, or engineering technologies is strongly preferred, or a CAD Drafting Certificate with relevant work experience.
• Minimum continuous 10+ years of industry design experience using Revit.
• Proficient in Bluebeam and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 10 years of structural industry experience.
• Continuing education/professional development in Revit (Structural).
• Experience with 3D perspectives from LiDAR and other scans.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team settings.
