Job DescriptionThe Dedicated Subject Matter Expert (SME) is a Senior-level Archaeologist, Paleontologist, Architectural Historian, or Historian that focuses on content and pricing strategy for client proposals. Dedicated SMEs are anticipated to spend at least 80% of their time on proposal preparation and pricing. The Dedicated SME can also serve as the Lead SME but is not necessarily the default Lead SME on all opportunities.
At the direction of a Regional or Office Principal, a Dedicated SME may also assist with technical work to supplement times when proposal backlog is low. This supplemental technical work could consist of conducting research, report writing, QC of data or site forms and reports, etc. Fieldwork is not expected for Dedicated SMEs.
