Job description

Sr. C#/API Engineer - Long Term Contract, Fully- Remote. MUST be eligible to work for any employer in the US. NO 3RD Party firms or Visa Sponsorhship available for this role.

The Senior Level C#/API Engineer will design, develop, and maintain high-quality C# applications and RESTful APIs, focusing on performance, reliability, and scalability. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing new features, refactoring existing code, writing unit and integration tests, and troubleshooting complex issues across services and systems. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, review code, improve development standards, and contribute to architectural decisions. This position also involves optimizing API integrations, improving system observability, and ensuring secure, maintainable interfaces with internal and external systems. This is a long-term contract role and is fully remote.

Qualifications

• Strong software development skills, including experience with C#, API design, and modern software engineering practices.
• Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and general programming concepts, with the ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Advanced debugging and problem-solving skills, including diagnosing issues in distributed systems and performance optimization.
• Experience working with Embedded Systems or low-level integrations, or the ability and willingness to learn such environments as needed.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, and related frameworks; familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP) is beneficial.
• Knowledge of version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and secure coding practices.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and collaborate in agile teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience at a senior level.
