Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Office of Chief Counsel seeks a Senior Legal Analyst to perform complex legal research, drafting, and policy analysis. The role provides high-level support to attorneys and helps shape legal strategy for the Governor’s Office and executive agencies.

The position offers full-time employment with potential telework up to 2 days per week. Candidates should have JD or equivalent, with substantial legal research experience and strong document drafting skills.

Qualifications

Two years of experience as a Legal Analyst or equivalent.
JD from ABA-accredited law school.
Two years of professional experience in legal research and analysis.
Advanced ability to analyze and summarize complex legal data.

Responsibilities

Conduct complex legal research on statutes, regulations, and legislative history.
Prepare summaries with recommendations on regulatory changes.
Support attorneys with case research and data gathering.
Draft pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents used in case preparation.
Assist in developing and implementing policies, protocols, and procedures.
Manage large research projects and document production tasks.
