Job summary

CS Recruiting seeks an experienced Senior Legal Counsel for North America, Freight Forwarding, based in Grapevine, TX. The role reports to the Head of Legal and covers complex contracts, regulatory matters, and compliance across the Air & Sea and Contract Logistics divisions in the U.S. and Canada.

You will draft and negotiate customer and vendor agreements, manage litigation, advise senior management, support governance, HR matters, and collaborate with global teams to mitigate risk.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
• Licensed to practice law in the relevant U.S. jurisdiction
• Minimum eight years of legal experience, with at least five years in-house counsel
• Minimum five years in logistics/transportation industry (ocean/air/warehousing)

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate customer and vendor agreements related to air/ocean transportation, warehousing, 3PL/4PL, and related services
• Manage litigation and pre-litigation matters
• Advise senior management on risk, compliance, and business strategy
• Support corporate compliance and provide stakeholder training
• Assist with corporate governance, including entity documents and shareholder meetings
• Provide HR-related employment law support
• Coordinate with global teams and key stakeholders on legal matters
• Monitor regulatory trends and advise on risk mitigation
