Position Summary:

This position within the Legal Department requires a lawyer with strong legal skills, capable of delivering business-oriented, effective, and efficient legal services, project management, and strategic counsel on significant business or corporate matters, or in specific practice areas such as litigation, mergers and acquisitions, securities law, privacy law, health law, technology law, or employment and labor law.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

1. The lawyer is responsible for delivering effective legal services to clients.
2. Handle legal projects, matters, and issues with technical expertise and minimal supervision.
3. Demonstrate project management skills, often taking on legal and business responsibilities for contracts or other matters.
4. Represent Cencora and client groups in business contracts and negotiations.
5. Make business-oriented, legally compliant recommendations to clients.
6. Solve straightforward problems, analyze solutions, and assess using standard procedures.
7. Manage multiple matters, prioritize, and complete work efficiently.
8. Adapt to change and seek developmental opportunities.

Experience & Educational Requirements:

1. 4 to 8 years of legal experience, with expertise in pharmaceutical law, contracts, and health law.
2. Graduate of an accredited law school and admitted to practice.
3. Capable of doing sophisticated work independently and supervising others.

Minimum Skills, Knowledge & Ability Requirements:

1. Knowledge of legal concepts, practices, and procedures in the field.
2. Strong background in pharmaceutical industry laws and practices.
3. Expertise in healthcare, regulatory, and corporate law, including EU regulations.
4. Experience with global pharmaceutical or healthcare companies, negotiations, and strategy development.
5. Ability to supervise outside counsel and understand industry policies.
6. Effective communication, interpersonal skills, and judgment.
7. Negotiation, leadership, presentation, and organizational skills.
8. Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
