Senior Legal Counsel AI/ML

The Senior Legal Counsel AI/ML will be based in one of our Bay Area offices (San Jose or San Francisco; will consider NY) and will be working on AI/ML issues in support of a broad range of outbound enterprise licensing and sales matters. This key work is in areas that are significant to Adobe's success. Primary responsibilities include:

Negotiate (solely or with commercial attorneys on 5 teams across the USA) AI/ML issues in customer contracts with Adobe's enterprise Digital Experience and Digital Media clients. This attorney needs to have some experience negotiating deals for:

  • Sophisticated enterprise software
  • SaaS/Cloud Based Services + related consulting services

Liaise/ work with counterparts in Product Legal and other functions, to understand and guide product development of AI/ML to align with customer needs and expectations.

Provide legal counsel to Sales reps, and Sales Management, and other internal groups (such as product teams, Privacy/Security team, and consulting services teams) on a variety of AI/ML issues.

Improve and develop AI term in Adobe's contract templates, develop/improve job aids for commercial attorneys to improve negotiation of AI/ML issues in revenue deals

This counsel needs to be knowledgeable in key subject matter areas, such as:

  • AI/ML issues, including LLMs, developing trends
  • Key related contract provisions like IP infringement, warranties, indemnities, etc.
  • Compliance requirements of regulated industries (ex. healthcare, financial services, government)
  • Requires 8+ years of Experience

This attorney will co-lead or participate in a handful of projects involving AI/ML.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $168,900 -- $306,800 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
