Job summary

iMPact Business Group seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to design, develop, test, and support LED-based lighting products for machine vision applications. This hands-on role requires owning hardware design from concept through production while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
• Associate degree with relevant experience considered
• 7+ years of electrical hardware design experience preferred
• Experience taking electrical designs from concept through production release
• Strong background in analog and digital circuit design and PCB layout
• Experience with LED technology, drivers, and power electronics
• Knowledge of thermal management techniques for high-output LED systems
• Experience troubleshooting circuits and performing electrical failure analysis
• Understanding of EMC/EMI design practices and compliance requirements
• Experience using lab equipment including oscilloscopes and power supplies

Responsibilities

• Design and develop LED-based lighting products for machine vision applications
• Create analog and digital circuit designs including LED drivers and power conversion
• Develop schematics and PCB layouts using Altium, Eagle, or KiCad
• Own electrical hardware development from concept through production release
• Make technical decisions on component selection and testing strategies
• Apply signal integrity, thermal management, and EMI design practices
• Perform thermal analysis and optimize high-output LED systems
• Troubleshoot circuit performance issues and conduct failure analysis
• Create BOMs, work instructions, and manufacturing docs
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, optical, test, and manufacturing teams
• Support product improvements and engineering changes
