Job summary

Intuitive Surgical, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Learning Experience Designer to lead ADDIE-based learning programs for new products and procedures. You will manage large cross-departmental projects, measure outcomes, and drive KPI-based improvements across teams.

The role partners with multimedia and clinical stakeholders to design scalable curricula, deliver hands-on lab trainings for physicians and care teams, and mentor Learning Content Specialists to ensure high-impact education programs.

Qualifications

Job Description

Primary Function of the Position

The Sr. Learning Experience Designer is responsible for all phases of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation (ADDIE) of learning programs and deliverables. Sr. Learning Experience Designers are also responsible for managing large cross-departmental projects and strategic initiatives, driving process improvement, and establishing KPIs.

Essential Job Duties

• Analyze learner journeys and personas based on pre-defined Technology Training Pathways to craft measurable learning objectives for a new product, technology, or application
• Collaborate with internal and cross-functional teams to research, design, and validate scalable learning solutions that optimize learning experience and outcomes
• Lead complex, cross-functional projects by developing comprehensive plans, coordinating multiple workstreams, and driving seamless execution with limited supervision
• Partner with the multimedia team to define and implement media strategies that enhance learning
• Proactively align with upstream and downstream stakeholders on critical path activities including resources, timelines, and execution plans
• Evaluate end-to-end learner experiences using a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods to drive optimization of learner and business outcomes
• Define success metrics and establish baselines for projects, programs, and strategic initiatives
• Scale programs by qualifying internal experts to support customer education during product and procedure launches
• Design and test learning curricula in Human Factors usability evaluations
• Deliver lab-based skills training for physicians and care teams as needed
• Create, manage, validate, and launch technology training protocols, as needed
• Support onboarding and mentor Learning Content Specialists and Learning Content Designers
