United CoolAir, LLC is seeking a Manufacturing and Operations Director for our York, PA facility. The role drives productivity, improves assembly processes, reduces waste, and cultivates a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.

The ideal candidate has a Mechanical Engineering degree, 7+ years of manufacturing leadership, and proven Lean/ISO 9001 experience to deliver measurable cost savings and performance gains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of manufacturing leadership experience in an assembly-based environment.
• Proven track record leading manufacturing operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and operational excellence methodologies.
• Experience managing manufacturing teams, supervisors, and production personnel.
• Experience working in ISO 9001-certified environments or similar Quality Management Systems.
• Proven cost savings, productivity improvements, and operational efficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead all manufacturing and sub-assembly operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase productivity, throughput, and reduce costs.
• Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Drive accountability for performance through KPIs and visual management systems.
• Partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Sales to align production capabilities with business objectives.
• Lead Lean transformation and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
• Apply mechanical engineering principles to optimize assembly processes, tooling, and workflow.
• Support new product introductions ensuring manufacturability and scalability.
• Improve factory layout and material flow for maximum efficiency.
• Lead quality initiatives to align with ISO 9001 and related QA systems.
• Develop and mentor supervisors, team leads, and production personnel.
