Job summary

Eventus WholeHealth in Columbus, OH seeks an exceptional Chair of Behavioral Health to lead a multidisciplinary team across psychiatry, psychotherapy, and BH integration. The role blends administration (40%) with active clinical work (60%), shaping care models for long-term care residents.

The executive will drive clinical standards, quality metrics, and collaboration with facility staff, APCs, and physicians, while overseeing budgeting and resources.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Board certification in Psychiatry required; active license.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive clinical and leadership experience.
• Experience in geriatric psychiatry, long-term care, skilled nursing, or assisted living settings.
• CMD or similar long-term care certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and clinical leadership for all behavioral health services.
• Establish and maintain evidence-based clinical standards and quality expectations across the organization.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and monitor clinical outcomes, utilization trends, and performance metrics.
• Serve as the senior clinical resource and escalation point for complex behavioral health issues.
• Champion integration of behavioral health with primary care and other clinical service lines.
• Develop strategies to strengthen collaboration among psychiatrists, APCs, psychotherapists, primary care teams, facility staff, residents, and families.
• Directly supervise the Directors of Psychotherapy and Behavioral Health Integration, including coaching and performance management.
• Lead recruitment, retention, engagement, and professional development for behavioral health providers and leaders.
• Foster a culture of clinical excellence, accountability, innovation, and clinician well-being.
• Provide leadership on BH service line operations, budgeting, financial performance, and resource allocation.
• Partner with Clinical Quality, Operations, Finance, HR, Analytics, L&I, and Growth teams to advance goals.
• Represent Eventus WholeHealth with strategic partners and external stakeholders.
