High Country Search Group has been retained by a growing, full-service engineering firm to identify a Senior Lead Transmission Line Engineer. This is a rare opportunity to join a remote-first team operating at the forefront of the power delivery sector—supporting utility clients across the U.S. with complex transmission, distribution, and substation design projects. The firm is known for its collaborative culture, strong project pipeline, and deep technical expertise in high-voltage systems.

In this role, you will:

• Lead 69kV–500kV transmission line projects from concept through completion, ensuring technical integrity and client satisfaction
• Manage and mentor a team of engineers and drafters, supporting technical development and daily performance
• Serve as the primary client contact, facilitating coordination, updates, and strategic guidance
• Perform and review structural calculations for wood, steel, and concrete pole designs
• Oversee project milestones, deliverable quality, and resource forecasting
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal disciplines and contribute to ongoing project meetings
• 7–9 years of experience in transmission line design, with a focus on overhead systems
• Proficiency in PLS-CADD and PLS-Pole; experience with FAD Tools and L-Pile is a strong plus
• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering; PE license strongly preferred
• Strong communication skills, client presence, and a proactive, team-first mindset
• Ability to lead independently in a remote environment, while staying aligned with project goals
