Job description

***The location for this position is McLean, VA (allows telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S.)***

What will I be doing?

Maintain and enhance complex delivery configurations integrating most Akamai products except media streaming. Handle requests from internal teams for configuration enhancements, architect, and implement changes across environments. Collaborate with the Release Architecture and Reliability Engineering teams on platform health and monitoring. Coordinate with Information Security and Cloud Operations as needed. Work with Developers and infrastructure teams to resolve performance issues. Domestic travel up to 5% may be required.

Salary: $160,000 to $180,000 per year

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or related field

- At least 4 years of experience in Solutions Architecture or similar role

- Experience resolving and improving web performance using Akamai Web Performance products

- Experience with Kona Security Suite: WAF, Bot Manager, SiteShield, Client Repute, FastDNS

- Ability to analyze logs and stack traces (Splunk) to solve complex problems

- Ability to select optimal Akamai solutions for digital initiatives

- Skills in maintaining web platform health and monitoring
