As a Senior LeadSoftwareEngineer - Windows Server Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector Compute Infrastructure Platform (CIP) organization, youexhibit both depth and breadth of knowledge regarding software, applications, and technical processes across multiple technical disciplines. You also have a specialization in a specific domain within infrastructure engineering to drive programs or initiatives consisting of multiple technologies and applications.
Job responsibilities
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification onSoftwareengineeringconcepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Advanced knowledge of distributed systems running either Windows Server,IIS, SQLServer and the underlying hardware and hypervisors
- Extensive experienceof one or more areas ofsoftwareengineering such as networking, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, or performance assessments
- Adept in specificsoftwaretechnology and programming languages (e.g.,C#, .NET, Ansible,PowerShell, Python, etc.)
- Extensive experience withsoftwareengineering in an enterprise environment with a demonstrated focus on integration with a heterogeneous environment, creating, documenting & automating test harnesses and results, using data to set firmwide technical standards
- Deep technical knowledge across multiple domains
- Demonstrated experience leading effective use of enterprise‑authorized AI‑assisted software development tools within the work environment (e.g., for coding, code review, test acceleration, troubleshooting) with the ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security
- Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations; experience coaching senior engineers/leads on compliant usage patterns and controls.
- Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds
- Experience translating technical results and requirements to business language and presenting to leadership teams
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Exposure to managing budgetsand experience in Windows Server Clusters.
- Experience in infrastructure virtualization with VMware, Hyper‑V, KVM or other hypervisors
- Experience in chaos engineering and testing with tools such as Gremlin
- Experience translating technical results and requirements to business language and presenting to leadership teams
