JPMorgan Chase in Jersey City is seeking a Sr Lead Software Engineer- Python / Distributed Computing to join the Markets Technology team within CEM Swaps. You will guide an agile team to design and deliver secure, scalable market technology products using Python and distributed systems.

You will contribute to Athena, a Python-based market risk, pricing and trade management platform, and help translate complex requirements into robust technical designs while promoting SDLC best practices.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Strong analytical development skills with CS fundamentals; real-time, high performance and risk/ pricing domains.
• Provides technical guidance to the business and its teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Distributed systems experience and data-intensive applications.
• Experience with event-driven systems and architecture design.
• Writes secure, high-quality production code and conducts reviews.
• Drives decisions shaping design, functionality, and operations.
• Advocates SDLC frameworks, tools and practices.
