As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Bank's Credit Technology Data team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions, and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
  2. Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
  3. Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes.
  4. Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus.
  5. Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  6. Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies.
  7. Adds to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  1. Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience in Python.
  2. Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  3. Advanced in one or more programming language(s) - Python.
  4. Experience in front office technology and financial data landscape.
  5. Understanding of Credit or similar financial markets products.
  6. Experience developing or leading cross-functional teams of technologists.
  7. Hands-on practical experience in system design, data engineering, application development, and operational stability.
  8. Expertise in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
  9. Experience across one or more database technologies: RDBMS (e.g. Oracle, Postgres), Time-series Databases (e.g. KDB+, Vertica).
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  1. Experience in AWS solutions and services beneficial.
  2. Experience in building strong relationships and foster collaboration across diverse teams.
  3. Experience in leading and mentoring team members for professional growth.
