Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer to join the Consumer and Community Banking Connected Commerce team. You will lead a high-performing, agile group delivering trusted, market-leading technology products with a focus on security, stability, and scalability.

You will guide architecture, drive data pipelines, and shape API services while mentoring engineers and advancing modern software practices across the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Experience leading technologists to manage and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise with development experience in Java 21 with building RESTful backend applications using Spring Boot.
• Experience in designing, building and maintaining high-throughput low latency data pipelines using Apache Kafka, KSQL and Kafka Streams.
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases such as Oracle, Postgres, Cassandra, etc.
• Experience in designing, building, and maintaining API services, with knowledge of Microservices with Domain Driven Design Patterns.
• Experience working with tools like Terraform to provision AWS cloud services.
• Experience with AWS EKS, AWS EC2, AWS ECS, EventBridge, Lambda, Route53, and AWS S3.
• Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.).
• Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight.
• Practical cloud native experience.
• Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
