You will drive significant business impact through your expertise, applying deep technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to a diverse range of challenges across multiple technologies and applications.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead key technical initiatives, evaluate tooling and design options to build enterprise-grade platform capabilities as part of a data engineering team.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the business, technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code; review and debug code written by others.
• Influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in one or more technical areas.
• Contribute to the engineering community by promoting firmwide frameworks, tools, and SDLC practices.
• Encourage the use and application of leading-edge technologies among peers and decision-makers.
• Promote a team culture rooted in diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with 5+ years of applied experience.
• Extensive experience with design and architecture of large distributed data applications.
• Practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages: Python/PySpark, Scala, or Java.
• Experience with Databricks and data lakehouse architectures.
• AWS Solution Architect certification.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with modern data technologies.
• Deep knowledge of software applications and technical processes, including cloud, AI, ML, mobile, etc.
• Ability to independently solve design and functionality challenges.
• Experience with data governance tools such as data entitlement, catalog, quality, and lineage.
• Educational background in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Exposure to OLAP/Cube Technologies.
• Databricks Solution Architect certification.
