Job summary

JPMorganChase in Jersey City seeks a Senior Lead Software Engineer to join the Corporate Sector—Liquidity Risk. You will contribute to a fast‑paced agile team, delivering secure, scalable, trusted technology products.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced expertise in Java and/or Python.
• Strong Big Data and database skills (Spark, Databricks, Data Lake).
• Experience with AWS (ECS, EKS, EMR, Lambda).
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Experience in large corporate environment and collaborating with global teams.
• Familiar with agile methodologies and CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience
• Hands‑on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Advanced expertise in one or more programming languages including Java and/or Python
• Strong Big‑Data and database skills including Spark, Databricks, and/or Data Lake
• Experience with AWS cloud computing using ECS, EKS, EMR, Lambda, etc.
• Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in‑depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
• Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment
• Ability to collaborate well with global teams in geographically distributed locations across time zones
• Self‑starter, able to reach out to various team members, users and partner teams to get solutions delivered
• Familiar with agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum) and CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security
