Requirements:

• Formal software engineering training or certification, with at least 5 years of applied experience
• Proven ability to lead the end-to-end design and delivery of complex software systems, including architecture, development, testing, and operational readiness
• Strong system design expertise, including distributed systems, microservices, and APIs
• Track record using AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude to speed up development, and coaching teams to adopt these tools
• Experience designing and deploying production agentic systems, such as LLM-powered agents, multi-step reasoning workflows, or tool-using AI
• Ability to establish standards, run experiments, and build team confidence in AI-augmented engineering practices
• Experience building and operating large-scale, high-performance digital applications with modern cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor engineers and senior technical contributors, raising standards through coaching and influence
• Experience applying industry-standard security practices and technology controls across the software delivery lifecycle
• Experience guiding the use of AI-assisted development tools for coding, code review, testing, and troubleshooting, including validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, resiliency, and security; ability to coach senior engineers on compliant practices and controls
