This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Lead Product Designer in North America.

As a Senior Lead Product Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping innovative and user-centered product experiences. You will lead design initiatives across complex digital products, guiding technical teams and collaborating with product managers to translate user needs and business priorities into compelling solutions. This role requires balancing strategic oversight with hands-on design work, including prototyping, interaction design, and interface development. You will drive design system evolution, oversee usability research, and ensure designs are production-ready, all while fostering a culture of design excellence. Your work will directly impact product quality, user satisfaction, and accessibility, particularly in regulated industries such as healthcare or medtech.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the evolution and maintenance of comprehensive design systems.
  • Overseeing collaboration with design teams and product managers to create seamless product experiences throughout the commercialization process.
  • Guiding technical staff and serving as a liaison between business and technical design aspects.
  • Developing interfaces for complex interactions, including remote adjustments, firmware updates, and diagnostics.
  • Directing user research initiatives to refine product usability and support evidence-based design decisions.
  • Overseeing the development of prototypes to convey product experiences and validate design choices.
  • Communicating project status and design recommendations to senior leadership, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Design, Design Management, Digital Media, or a related discipline plus 3 years of product design experience or a Bachelor’s Degree plus 5 years of progressive post-bachelor’s experience.
  • Ownership of end-to-end design for consumer mobile applications, including interaction flows, information architecture, visual and motion design, and prototyping.
  • Expertise with Figma and B2C digital products, applying mobile UX/UI best practices.
  • Experience in regulated industries such as Healthcare or Medtech for at least one year.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills to guide cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to translate customer needs and strategic insights into compelling, production-ready designs.
  • Experience conducting and applying user research to improve product usability.
