Job summary

Sage V Foods, headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas, is seeking a dependable Senior Lead Operator to join our production team at the Little Rock Plant. This role will oversee operations, maintain equipment, and lead a small team to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production of rice, grain, and plant-based products.

The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of machine operating experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to read production documents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of successful machine operating experience in a modern facility.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Experience in the food or chemical industry preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and self-motivation.
• Effective teamwork and leadership skills.
• Ability to read and interpret production documents and customer orders.
• Basic computer knowledge for operating systems and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain department machinery to support production, packing, and shipping of rice food products.
• Drive a forklift or other powered equipment as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance per PM charts and report defective materials or conditions.
• Follow all food safety, legal, quality, and process control policies and regulations.
• Accurately maintain company records and forms.

• Keep work areas and equipment clean, safe, and organized.
• Support continuous improvement by learning machine functions and troubleshooting issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical & Work Requirements

• Stand for extended periods; occasional stooping, bending, kneeling.
• Work extended shifts and weekends when needed.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. routinely and handle equipment assembly/disassembly.
• Comfortable working at heights using ladders.
• Ability to distinguish colors and perform close visual work on controls and computer screens.
• Wear required PPE at all times.
• Work in a variety of conditions including hot, cold, dusty, noisy, and wet environments with uneven walking surfaces and moving equipment.
