Job summary

Forged Fiber seeks a Senior Lead Network Engineer to lead Metro Ethernet and IP/MPLS design, engineering, and operations across a multi-vendor platform. You will guide architecture, routing, and service delivery for highly available networks.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate with Architecture, Operations and Planning, and drive modernization initiatives. A strong background in BGP/OSPF, MPLS, SR and EVPN with Cisco/Juniper/Ciena is required.

Qualifications

7+ years of service provider or telecommunications network engineering experience.
Extensive experience designing, implementing and supporting Metro Ethernet and IP/MPLS networks.
Direct experience supporting carrier-grade Metro Ethernet services in a Tier 3/4 role.

Responsibilities

Lead collaboration with architecture teams to define Metro Ethernet, IP/MPLS and transport designs.
Develop engineering standards for L2/L3 design, resiliency, scalability and operations.
Drive architecture reviews and network modernization initiatives.
Serve as authority for BGP/OSPF/IS-IS, MPLS, LDP, RSVP-TE, SR, EVPN routing.
Design and support large IPv4/IPv6 routing architectures.
Mentor engineers and coordinate across NOC, Planning and Operations.
