Job summary

Deloitte is seeking a Lead Integration Engineer II to design, build, and deliver scalable enterprise integration solutions across cloud and on‑prem environments. You will lead API, middleware, and system-to-system initiatives on the Government & Public Services Industry Solutions team in California.

The role requires 8+ years in integration, 5+ years in API/middleware/ETL, 3+ years leading teams, and cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP). Travel up to 10% is expected; sponsorship may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience designing, developing, and deploying enterprise integration solutions
• 5+ years of experience with API design, middleware, extract transform load processes, or message-based integrations
• 3+ years of experience leading technical teams, projects, or workstreams
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and implementing enterprise integration solutions across cloud and on-premises environments
• Leading technical workstreams for API, middleware, and system-to-system integration initiatives
• Collaborating with product, engineering, and business teams to define integration requirements, interfaces, and data flows
• Establishing integration architecture patterns, technical standards, and deployment approaches that support scalability and maintainability
• Supporting testing, defect resolution, production readiness, and operational performance for integration services
